Hard work

Finding it hard to get all the info. With your home town you know which are good areas and which to avoid. You know where the good schools are, where the jobs are, where the best restaurants are! A whole new island and I don’t know where to even start!

It is so hard to relocate,  I suspect that we are going to have to just head over and hope for the best! I can see many house moves on the horizon, before we get it just right!

Need all the help we can get… so thank you

People are so helpful, we have had so many people email us and help us with the tricky decisions we are having to make.

Getting information about anything in Mallorca is so difficult when you are not there and do not speak the language (yet)! So many people have been helping us, with opinions, information, links, ideas etc and it’s all from people who already done it. It make us feel so much more able to make these difficult decisions and have people to turn to when we get lost in it all.

The kindness we have received from everyone, not only when in Mallorca but back in the UK too, has made us feel so much more comfortable about our Mallorcan dreams and attempting to turn them into a reality – you have taken some of the fear away – so THANK YOU ALL!

Decisions Decisions!

Back in the UK for now!

Lots of decisions to make about schools, where to live, what to take and when to go!

Looking at the schools in person has made things far easier in regard to making a decision on where to school the children and whether to go for a mainly English or Spanish school.

We now believe that it is really important for the children to speak Spanish fluently if we are to make Mallorca our (and thier) home permanently, this obvously has a large impact on which schools we prefer. It all then comes down to places and which ones are available to us, both state and private are over subscribed at the moment!

Lots of thinking to do…
